red.

Last night, as I was sitting at my desk taking a study break (which was much needed and deserved...thanks, Junior Year), I realized that Taylor Swift's new album, Red, had been released that morning. Naturally, this put me in a fabulous mood, and I immediately downloaded it.

So.

Darn.

Good.

I think I was three tracks in when I realized that burning a CD for my car was completely necessary. It's the new soundtrack for my commute to and from school...for an indefinite period of time.

I'm a huge fan of the whole album, but here are my top tracks:

All Too Well. I don't even have words to describe how much I am in love with this song.

22. This is super different for Taylor, more in the vein of We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I Knew You Were Trouble, but it's such a cute, fun song!

I Almost Do. Probably my favorite song on the entire album. Perfection.

Everything Has Changed (feat. Ed Sheeran): Okay, a) I love Ed Sheeran. He sounds phenomenal on this track, and b) this song gives me chills. Total winner.

Starlight. The lyrics and production are both beautiful and I'm in love. Enough said.

As a whole, Red is definitely a hit!

Have you listened to the album? What are your thoughts?

4th of July Outfits

My second favorite holiday (right after Christmas. But, like, it's Christmas...) is right around the corner! That's right, I'm totally obsessed with the 4th of July. I'm still not sure if it's because it's so close to my birthday and the fireworks sometimes start a couple days early–on my actual birthday–or if it's just that I have an irrational love of the red, white, and blue. I'm thinking both. But then again, I do have an entire board on Pinterest dedicated to 'Merica and an American Flag bikini, so you never know...

If you're still looking for an outfit for the 4th, here are some super cute and preppy suggestions.

This outfit is so versatile! It's perfect for virtually any activity on the 4th, from a backyard barbecue to playing Baggo to going to the parade and watching fireworks! I'd roll up the sleeves of the button-up and tie it at the hem. And I'm obsessed with the bow headband and Jacks!

This is a little dressier, and perfect for a day to night celebration at your country club or really anywhere else you may be where you need to be a little more polished and put together. I love the anchors on the skirt. They bring a playful feel to the whole outfit!

I'm obsessed with this whole outfit. The American Flag bikini, the lobster tote, the adorable white dress that serves as a perfect cover up. I'd say you could wear this from the beach straight to a barbecue or clam bake, no problem. It's just too cute!

Red and White

Since it's December, it's time to start playing up all of my favorite holiday-esque color combinations! Arguably my favorite is red and white. Together, the colors remind me of a bunch of candy-canes, but it's not so far out there as going full on red and green.

I know I just talked about Bow's Arts the other day, but their collection of Christmas headbands is absolutely fantastic. My favorite is the red and white striped one on the top right. I'd wear it casually with a cream sweater, jeans, and loafers or with the same cream sweater, a black skirt, and flats for a dressier occasion.

I absolutely adore this cardigan from Lilly Pulitzer! The placement of the red detail is so unexpected and different.

This J.Crew coat is gorgeous, and the buffalo check is a nice departure from the stripes I usually gravitate to.

Kate Spade offers a perfect pop of red for a busy day of gift shopping! Pair this tote with jeans, wellies, and a white shirt for a polished, yet comfy, look.

This J.Crew skirt + white button-up + flats = holiday party perfection!

Look forward to more holiday color posts coming up!
