My dad got my mom tickets to Beyoncé's show at the United Center for her birthday. Long story short, something comes up with work and he finds out about a week in advance that he won't be able to go. Guess who's next in line for that one?

We had incredible seats, second row and about an equal distance from the two stages set up on either end of the floor. As in perfect. I actually felt bad for all the girls in General Admission on the floor who had to stand the whole night in their ridiculous heels.

{THERE SHE IS}

Her dancers were phenomenal as well. I was equally impressed by their dance ability and choreography as I was by their mile-long legs.

Halfway through the show, a swing dropped down to the stage and she flew across the crowd on the floor to do a set on the second stage. Even better, she sang the entire time she was flying. Girl is amazing.

It was the best concert I've ever been to. She comes back to Chicago in December, and my mom and I are already making plans to catch her show then! As Mama put it: "Some people just go to Bruce Springsteen concerts, we'll just go to Beyoncé concerts every time she's in town." Sounds good to me.

And as if this week couldn't get any better, I'm driving up today with my friends for the first day of the Country Thunder music festival in Twin Lakes, WI!! On the line-up today: Parmalee, Dustin Lynch, Little Big Town, and Keith Urban. I can't contain myself! A full weekend recap post will be coming your way next week.
