One Year-It Certainly Feels Like Summer on the North Shore

As I write this from my patio, the sun is shining, it's 86 degrees outside, I'm already tan, and I've recently gone shopping for more chino shorts from J.Crew. Ahh, summer.

One year ago, on this very day, I sat down at my dining room table with my MacBook, bored out of my mind, and decided to start a blog. My first post was written out of boredom on a summer day that felt more like early spring, and blossomed into what quickly became a very important part of my life. From that fateful day in June of 2011, I was a blogger. I was a writer. A fashion consultant. Classic and girly with just a pinch of a trendsetter. I was the North Shore Prep.

One year later, I am proud to say that while I know I haven't peaked yet in the blogosphere, I am satisfied with where I am right now. When I started writing, I never imagined that I would receive so much positive feedback from people across the country (and the world!) and how many opportunities I'd get as a blogger. I never thought that I'd have so many lovely readers and new followers on Twitter, Tumblr, and Pinterest. I would have never thought that through blogging, I'd have the opportunity to connect with girls who shared my interests and style, or that I'd be able to join a community of girls dedicated to living a smart lifestyle.

I feel so incredibly blessed that so much has fallen into place with this blog, and that all of you are still loyal readers. It is so inspiring to see how many people are interested in what I have to say. I hope y'all will continue to support me as North Shore Prep continues to grow and would like to thank all of y'all for your support already!

XO
