I know I keep telling y'all I've been super busy, but I've sort of been keeping y'all in the dark about what exactly I've been up to! There are all sorts of amazing things going on and I couldn't wait to share them with y'all!!
Dance Recital
Here I am with two of my best friends and fellow dancers (and Varsity Poms!!)
We had a great show!! The theater we perform in is so beautiful and I loved the pieces I was doing this year. I just got the DVD delivered to my house, and, overall, I am quite pleased with my performances and the show as a whole. Now I'm just waiting on my pictures that I'll definitely be sharing with y'all!
Prom
I went to prom!! As a sophomore!! Okay, it was really for Student Council, and I was working check-in and counting ballots for king and queen, but I was there! It was so much fun, and my friends and I couldn't get over the fact that we were there.
The phrase of the night was "Loving us, loving prom." We definitely had a blast!
After we finished checking everybody in and counting the ballots for king and queen, we were allowed to go into the ballroom to dance with everyone. I loved seeing everyone's dresses in person and seeing all of my older friends who were actually at prom. Plus, it gave us a feel for how the night works and what we wanted for next year when we plan prom as one of our responsibilities for Junior Class Board.
The Smart Girl's Group
I'm still writing for the Smart Girl's Guide and loving it! We've got a lot of great things coming up in the next few months and have great plans for the future. If you haven't checked it out yet, you definitely should. And if you have, thank you so much for your support already and please, keep coming back!!
Poms
I'm officially back in season with Poms and I couldn't be happier! I love being reunited with all of the girls from last year, and it's been great seeing all of the new freshmen who are coming on to JV. We've already learned our routines for Elite Camp at the end of June, and I am so excited to see where this season takes us!!
Miscellaneous
And for all the rest of the things that I've been doing: I worked the Honors & Awards assembly as one of my first StuCo responsibilities, Finals Week, writing papers, completing study guides, working out, registering for summer school, planning blog posts for the summer, and choosing books to read!
And my favorite little thing I've done: I scheduled my first college visit!! The weekend after the 4th of July (also my birthday weekend), Mama and I will be going down to Baton Rouge to visit Louisiana State University!! LSU is my first choice school and I'm so excited to tour the campus and spend some time in Baton Rouge. Then we'll drive down to New Orleans to spend the second part of the weekend there! I'm beyond excited:)
