Off to the Races

Since it's my aunt and cousins' last day visiting from San Francisco, Mama and I wanted to do something really fun. Thinking back to last summer, I suggested that we visit the Arlington Park Racetrack. I had gone once with a friend, and I figured I'd like it just as much this time around. I was right! We got there around 12:30, with just enough time to catch the first race, posted at 1:00.

J (right) and N had so much fun placing bets on the horses, and J came out five dollars richer! I could have come out $7 richer, but I decided to bet it (and lose it!) on the next race...whoops.

Me and J right before we got our Blue Raspberry Slushies! And yep, that's my natural hair, just how J has been BEGGING me to wear it like that all week. We went to the pool last night and I didn't have time to blow it out again, so she got her wish.

We had so much fun today at the track on this gorgeous and sunny day, and I've already found myself begging Mama to go again next weekend with Daddy and Little Sis for the Arlington Million!
